SHANGHAI AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING CO. LTD, is a Shanghai based aerospace company specialising in aircraft manufacturing, subcontracting of parts and components, repair and overhaul, non-aerospace products, such as aerial ladders, hovercraft, glass wall manufacturing and swerve racks for magnetic aerotrains. It now belongs to the COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT CORPORATION OF CHINA (COMAC) that was established in 2008.

SHANGHAI AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING CO, is located in the international financial capital of China, Shanghai and was founded in 1950. Back then it was specialising in aircraft repairs and modifications and in the 1970s it successfully developed its own aircraft in cooperation with the American company McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.
