Air-to-Ground Deep Penetrators

The PB500A1 laser-guided bomb by IMI comprises a hard-target penetration warhead and a laser-guidance kit.

With the ability to penetrate and destroy bunkers and a wide range of hard and reinforced concrete targets, the PB500A1's warhead technology is compatible with JDAMs and PAVEWAYs.

The PB500A1 hard target blaster cuts through 2 meters of concrete. The

warhead mass, the aerodynamic properties, and interface with the aircraft and guidance kit are similar to those of general-purpose MK83 air bombs. The PB500A1's warhead can also be installed on air-to-surface missiles.

Optimal Performance
The warhead's guidance system enables military bunkers, headquarters and other hard targets to be destroyed with pinpoint accuracy while reducing collateral damage. Its uniqueness is that its operational performance is similar to bombs weighing twice as much.
