Brown&Sharpe-Precizika produces and sells coordinate
measuring machines (CMM) and their components, linear and rotary photoelectric
encoders, glass scales and discs, various mechanical parts and assembles.
It provides service, training and support for its own made metrology accessories
and also markets all types Brown&Sharpe made CMM, makes upgrades and
services them.

History and Experience
The company Brown&Sharpe-Precizika was formed in 1991 as a Lithuanian-American
joint venture on the base of Vilnius branch of the scientific manufacturing
company ENIMS of the former USSR. In such a way the workforce of Brown&Sharpe-Precizika
is involved more than 35 years in precision metrological equipment development,
design, production and service as well as in implementation of measuring
technology and measuring systems to automate factories.
Now Precizika is the Lithuanian partner in the venture. The USA partners
are Brown&Sharpe of Rhode Island and Euromedika of Massachusetts.
Although officially Brown&Sharpe-Precizika was started just in 1991,
the company and its founders have long traditions of metrological equipment
design, production and service.
The company Brown&Sharpe is between the largest designers and producers
of measurement equipment in the world. It has a long and proud history
of working in this area. The company’s staffs offer skills and experience
that no competitor can match. Worldwide network of scientists, meteorologists
and programming experts of the company can find the solution for any problem
of customers.
The Lithuanian company Precizika
appeared in 1990 when renaming Vilnius branch of ENIMS. Vilnius
branch of ENIMS had 25 years experience in development, design,
manufacture and service of low cost optoelectronic measuring systems
and components. It was the leading designer and manufacturer of
CMM and photoelectric linear and rotary encoders in the former USSR
and formed the technological policy in these fields. On the period
1970-1990 Vilnius branch of ENIMS produced more than a half of all
USSR made CMM and photoelectric and linear encoders. |

A significant milestone in the history of the
venture is the year 2000 - the certification of ISO 9002.
Customers and Partners
Today such distinguished firms as Gurley Precision Instruments (USA),
Philips, Thermo ARL (Switzerland, previously ARL Applied Research Laboratories),
EAE Electronics (Turkey), VAZ and Zavolzhskii Motornij Zavod (both Russia),
Minskij Motornij Zavod (Byelorussia) and many others are successfully
employing the products of Brown&Sharpe-Precizika.
Components produced by Brown&Sharpe-Precizika are used by Brown&Sharpe
(USA), Brown&Sharpe DEA SPA (Italy), Brown & Sharpe GmbH (Germany)
and Brown&Sharpe TESA SA (Switzerland).
