Award of a call off using the Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) for support services for children, young people and families (Lot 5 – Short Breaks/Leisure, Outreach and Recreation) To provide meaningful Short Break activities for children and young people with disabilities who reside in Knowsley, in order to allow parents/carers a break from their caring responsibility. Activity sessions will take place during most school holidays, and at term-time weekend for the following lots:

The aim of Support Services for children and their families is to provide individualised programmes of support which build on the strengths of families and enables:
— Parents and carers to fulfil their parenting and caring role and for families to lead ‘ordinary lives’.
— Enable children and their families to engage in life enriching activities within the community and have improved quality of life.
The PDPS is split into eight lots
The PDPS length is 10 years. The PDPS will commence from 3.11.2016.
The PDPS will remain open during the 10 year period; this means that following the initial assessment and establishment of the PDPS, providers can apply to be added to PDPS at any point in time.
Although providers may apply at any time, applications will only be assessed by the named organisations then added to the PDPS at certain points during the year. Following commencement of the PDPS applications will only be accessed after 1.2.2017.
Lot 1 — Care and Personal Support (including domiciliary and social care)
To provide care and support: in the home or out in the community. This may include but not be limited to:
— Personal care tasks.
— Outreach support.
