This Approach to Market is for the provision of:

a.   A technical description of the vulnerability of the Murray-Darling Basin’s environmental, social and economic values to climate change (3 different future climate scenarios) and other threats (note that supporting evidence on future drivers of change will come through a separate provider).

b.   A technical description of three possible future environmental, three social and three economic condition assessments of the Murray-Darling Basin in 2050 (based on three different hydroclimate scenarios provided by the MDBA).

This work is to be shared with key stakeholders during its development, and is to be independently supported in its scientific validity and robustness of approach (e.g. expert elicitation workshops or similar).

MDBA is willing to accept an application for the entire project (three themes), or for one or more of the individual themes (environmental, social, economic). If only part of this Approach to Market is applied for, allowance must be made to ensure strong collaboration with other service providers throughout the life of the project. There should be sufficient project time and budget to contribute to (but not lead) the other pieces of analyses.
