Airgas Recognized by Bechtel for Outstanding Performance on Nuclear, Security, and Environmental Projects

Airgas, an Air Liquide company and a leading U.S. supplier of industrial gases, welding technologies, and safety products, was recognized for outstanding work on projects by Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental global business unit at the Bechtel Supply Chain Recognition awards. The awards recognize suppliers who supported Bechtel’s work in nuclear power, environmental clean-up, defense, and nuclear security and operations projects during 2016.

Airgas has supplied Bechtel with industrial gases, as well as welding hardgoods and safety products, since 2008, supporting key engineering and construction projects across the U.S.

Airgas CEO Pascal Vinet commented: “Airgas is honored to be recognized by Bechtel. Airgas defines success as helping customers grow by providing excellent service and industry-leading expertise. Our partnership with Bechtel is a prime example of this success. We thank Bechtel for the recognition and look forward to our continued partnership.”

Barbara Rusinko, President of Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental global business unit, said: “We could not accomplish what we do without our subcontractors and suppliers. The work is challenging, highly technical, and is often first-of-a-kind.”

Awarded companies were evaluated on multiple factors, including overall performance; the ability to deliver quality services and supplies on time; the ability to work collaboratively to meet milestones; and meeting or exceeding project expectations in the aspects of safety, construction performance, technical expertise, and environmental compliance.
