Booz Allen to Help Department of Defense Enhance Cyber Security Automation

In today’s digital world, it’s an imperative for the U.S military to have access to mission-critical information anywhere around the globe. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is responsible for ensuring that the Department of Defense (DoD) has access to the best in class command and control, and information-sharing capabilities required to keep U.S. warfighters, national leaders and coalition partners safe. In support of this mission, DISA has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) a $40 million single-award Blanket Purchase Agreement to help improve DoD cyber security and risk management using automated security solutions for the agency’s Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

“We are honored to be selected as the government’s trusted partner for this important DoD cyber security mission,” said Brad Medairy, senior vice president with Booz Allen. “Today’s information security professionals can easily spend much of their day sorting through cyber incident alerts. New approaches, like automating incident response, are key to cyber resiliency and will enable DISA’s talented cyber warriors to shift from sorting anomalies to focusing on the most critical issues.”

Booz Allen will provide full lifecycle development and sustainment of the eMASS system, including user training and enhanced integration with other cyber security tools for state-of-the-art automation. To learn more about Booz Allen’s cyber capabilities, visit BoozAllen.com/Cyber.
