Thomas P. Bossert to Make First Visit to Israel in his Capacity as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism at Cyber Week 2017

Cyber Week 2017 [https://cyberweek.tau.ac.il/2017/index.php ] announced today that Thomas P. Bossert, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, will attend the conference as a speaker. The upcoming visit will represent the first time that Mr. Bossert travels to Israel as a senior aide to President Trump. In his current position, Mr. Bossert advises the President on issues related to homeland security, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity. President Trump described Mr. Bossert as an "invaluable asset," saying that, "he has a handle on the complexity of homeland security, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity challenges." During the trip, Mr. Bossert will be traveling with Mr. Rob Joyce, the White House Cybersecurity Coordinator.

Mr. Bossert previously served in the White House under President George W. Bush, as the Deputy Homeland Security Advisor, and more recently, Mr. Bossert was a senior fellow at the U.S. Atlantic Council and ran a risk management consulting firm.
