Humantech Achieves Platinum Certification Renewal As A Sustainable Service Provider
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Humantech, experts in workplace improvement, announced today the renewal of its Platinum-level certification to NSF Protocol P391: General Sustainability Assessment Criteria for Services and Service Providers from the global independent public health organization NSF International. Humantech was the third professional services company and first ergonomics company to earn this certification in 2015.
The NSF P391 Sustainability Assessment Criteria for Services and Service Providers protocol was established through a consensus-based process that included input from an expert panel of service providers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, environmental organizations, and end users. NSF International has also developed sustainability standards through this consensus-based process for a wide range of product categories, including chemicals, commercial furnishings, flooring, building products and materials, and water treatment and distribution systems.

Organizations can earn NSF P391 certification at the Conformant, Silver, Gold, or Platinum levels. Humantech initially earned Gold certification to NSF P391 in August 2014 and was upgraded to Platinum level in 2015.
Once certified, service providers are authorized to use the NSF Sustainability Certified mark in their advertising and marketing, helping to quickly communicate their credibility as a sustainable services provider to government agencies and prospective customers. Monitoring and periodic reevaluation are required to maintain certification. Certificants are required to undergo annual documentary audits, plus biannual site audits to ensure their continued compliance.
