USA Swimming Taps Statera To Transform Digital Presence

NEW YORK, June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Statera, an award-winning web, mobile and CRM agency, today announced that its longstanding partnership with USA Swimming, the United States' national governing body of swimming, has achieved success metrics that have helped drive impactful business outcomes for the organization.

USA Swimming, which has been a client of Statera's since 2002, expanded the engagement in recent years to focus on the redesign and relaunch of the official USA Swimming website (www.usaswimming.org) into a mobile-optimized site, as well as the launch of www.usaswimmingfoundation.org, the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming, which aims to provide every child in America the opportunity to learn to swim and to raise funds to financially support National Team athletes and coaches.

To launch the new website, Statera focused on building a responsive website which was highly functional, easy to navigate and engaging on mobile devices. The new website was completely transformed from the original site, with a 100 percent new look and feel. Statera integrated significant personalization into the website based on specific personas of visitors - swimmers, coaches, officials, parents and team leaders.

The new website included enhanced features in USA Swimming's core "Deck Pass" platform, each of which delivered new statistics, charts, and interactive content to athletes, coaches and officials visiting the site. The new website also featured new automation components, such as simpler organization of content and search functionality, as well as enhanced 'Find a Team' functionality, enabling visitors to have access to mapping tools that enable them to find a team to swim with or to search for swim lessons.

The launch of the new official website yielded USA Swimming a multitude of impactful business results, including:

-- Nearly 60% of access to the website is derived from a mobile device.
These users now have a responsive site with the new implementation.
-- There were over 45 million page views in the last year.

In addition to the official USA Swimming website, Statera spearheaded the efforts for the USA Swimming Foundation website, www.usaswimmingfoundation.org. The site allows visitors to donate to help give free or reduced-cost swim lessons to children in need and also provide financial support to financially to the USA National Swimming Team athletes and coaches.

The USA Swimming website was a first-of-its-kind for many USA sports organizations, providing personalized performance content for athletes and coaches. By incorporating the attributes of Deck Pass into the site, members can track goals, view time rankings, and access the latest news and reports of featured events such as national and international competitions.

Automation was an important piece of the website, with Statera providing the ability to run automated background checks and other Safe Sport initiatives to ensure all non-athlete members were screened to standards. Statera also integrated a variety of automated tracking and testing systems into the website, such as Online Meet Entry, Officials Tracking System and Online Testing System, all of which provided important support to officials, coaches and athletes before, during and after competitions.

"When we partnered with USA Swimming to design, develop and automate their digital presence, our goal was to help them showcase all of the innovative content and assets they have to offer to their athletes, coaches, officials, and fans," said Carl Fitch, CEO of Statera. "We couldn't be happier with our partnership, and to see USA Swimming now serve as a trailblazer and case study for other organizations to follow when it comes to innovation and automation within the digital arena."

"By the time we met Statera, we had developed a loyal, massive and content-hungry following across the United States and the World," said John Burbidge, IT Director of USA Swimming. "However, we had yet to make the crucial step forward to bring our brand into the digital age."

"After getting feedback from users and undergoing a thorough analysis of user experience, Statera helped modernize our digital presence and bring to fruition great new features that USA Swimming members will love," USA Swimming Director of IT John Burbidge. "Through a series of state-of-the-art automation technologies, top-notch strategies and creative thinking, our team at Statera helped place us at the forefront of digital media, and the feedback from our followers has been tremendous."
