S7 Receives A320neo Powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower® Engines
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., July 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- S7 Airlines took delivery of its first A320neo powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower(®) Geared Turbofan(TM) PW1100G-JM engines today. S7 Airlines is leasing the aircraft from BOC Aviation. This milestone also becomes the first PW1100G-JM-powered aircraft to be added to BOC Aviation's fleet. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

The Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine provides operators with a reduction in fuel burn of 16 percent and up to a 50 percent reduction in regulated emissions. The large bypass ratio also reduces the noise footprint of the engine by up to 75 percent.
The PurePower engine family has engine orders, including options and unannounced orders, from more than 80 customers in 30 countries.
