BioAmber Inc. Announces Underwritten Offering of Common Stock and Warrants

MONTREAL, Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - BioAmber Inc. (NYSE: BIOA) (TSX: BIOA) ("BioAmber" or the "Company") announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its common stock, with each share of common stock to be sold together in a fixed combination with a warrant to purchase additional shares of common stock. In addition, BioAmber expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock and/or warrants offered in the public offering. The offering is subject to market conditions and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

Rodman & Renshaw, a unit of H.C. Wainwright & Co., is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
