(ISC)2 Names Brian Correia Managing Director for North America Region

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- (ISC)² today announced Brian Correia has been appointed managing director for the association's North America region. Correia joined (ISC)² earlier this year as the region's director of business development. He was responsible for cultivating relationships and creating new growth opportunities within the U.S. and Canada, including developing initiatives that make it easier for government agencies and large enterprises to provide cybersecurity training and certification to their employees. In his new role, he is responsible for managing North American business operations, including sales and member recruitment, business development, government relations and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining (ISC)², Correia served as the director of business development and venue planning at SANS Institute. He worked at SANS for sixteen years and was involved in divisions responsible for sales, partner relationships, event management, contracts and marketing campaigns. Before working for SANS, Brian spent six years in the trade show industry working on the marketing, speaker bookings, and logistics for military, government, and corporate events. Brian has also served three years on the Starwood Advisory Meetings Board (which comprised of Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, St. Regis, Four Points, and Luxury Collection) helping to implement new products, marketing, and consulting to one of the leading hospitality companies in the industry. He is a graduate of James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
