Maxthon's Passkeeper Now Supports SMS Verification, Aiming to Further Improve User's Internet Security

BEIJING, Aug. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxthon, a global software company that develops advanced browsers, just released a beta version (V5.1.1.200) of its MX5 browser that includes a major update of the Passkeeper feature. This beta version now enables user to add a SMS verification to its Passkeeper feature, meaning that a user will need to input the account password as well as the verification code been sent to his/her mobile phone to have access to his/her Passkeeper control panel.

With more and more social networks, e-commerce, and online banking sites, security of personal information becomes more important. People need to create loads of different accounts to enter those sites and use their services. Therefore, Maxthon launched the Passkeeper feature in its MX5 browser to help users create highly random & safe passwords and manage them accordingly. Being the first password manager adopted in a mainstream browser, Passkeeper swept the global market soon after its release. By using this amazing feature, users will no longer need to go through a hard time remembering all of their long and easily forgotten passwords. Users can create a series of long and strong passwords with a few simple clicks in the control panel of Passkeeper.

Security incidents have happened frequently in recent days. To better deal with the increasingly severe Internet security problem, Maxthon updated the already-great Passkeeper feature in the latest beta version of MX5 browser by adding an SMS verification code into it. Now users need their account password together with the verification code been sent to their phone to log in to Passkeeper control panel to manage all of their passwords. This measure can guarantee the safety of user's Passkeeper accounts, which means the safety of all his/her account info that stored in Passkeeper. Users can now experience this ultra safe Passkeeper feature in the latest beta version of Maxthon's MX5 browser (Download here: http://dl.maxthon.com/mx5/mx5.1.1.200-beta.exe), or wait till Aug 17(th) and go to Maxthon's official website (www.maxthon.com) to download the official release version.
