Media Advisory - The Government of Canada, the Government of Nunavut and the Qikiqtani Inuit Association to make historic announcement on marine conservation in Tallurutiup Imanga/Lancaster Sound

GATINEAU, QC, Aug. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - The Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, the Honourable Joe Savikataaq, Nunavut's Minister of Environment and P.J. Akeeagok, President of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association, will be in Pond Inlet, Nunavut, to make a historic announcement related to marine conservation in Tallurutiup Imanga/Lancaster Sound.

Multiple activities will be organized during the day as part of this announcement.
