Vehicles for Change Seeks Qualified Recipients for Refurbished Cars
BOSTON, Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Vehicles for Change, a nonprofit organization that addresses transportation issues, is looking for low-income, working Massachusettsans who are in need of reliable transportation. As part of their partnership with EcoMedia, Vehicles for Change is seeking to award four cars to qualified recipients for approximately $1100 before the end of the month.
In order to be eligible for the program, applicants must be working at least 30 hours a week or have a verifiable job offer, must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license, must be insurable (no DUIs or DWIs), must not have any other vehicle in the household, must be drug free, must be able to cover fees for taxes, tags and title (approximately $500), and must be able to afford the ongoing cost of car ownership (insurance, fuel, repairs as needed). Additionally, applicants under the age of 25 must have children.
