Media Alert: Global Launch of Cyber Security Awareness Month to Take Place at the Organization of American States on October 3, 2017

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Organization of American States will launch Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM), the international arm of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), on October 3 with a daylong event featuring internationally renowned government and cybersecurity industry experts. Through a series of media panels exploring global cybersecurity issues, speakers will discuss how to keep all global citizens safer and more secure online, and how governments and the private sector can work together on building a more secure and trusted internet, as well as look ahead to the benefits of a globally secure internet.

Now in its 14(th) year, NCSAM is recognized annually in October and involves the participation of a multitude of industry leaders ? mobilizing individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, academia, multinational corporations and governments. It was co-founded and is co-led by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, the nation's leading nonprofit public-private partnership promoting the safe and secure use of the internet and digital privacy.
