DynCorp International to Operate Base Camp Support in Puerto Rico

The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island issued DynCorp International’s (DI) Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV a United States Army Northern Command (NORTHCOM) contract change order to establish and operate base camp support for Department of Defense Title 10 Forces, the National Guard, Federal Emergency Response Agency (FEMA) personnel and First Responders supporting Hurricane Maria relief operations in Puerto Rico.

The LOGCAP will immediately begin the process of providing all camp construction, supplies, services, management, oversight and incidentals necessary for a 1,000-man camp at Aguadilla on Puerto Rico’s west coast, and a 1,500-man camp at the former Naval Air Station Roosevelt Roads located in the eastern part of Puerto Rico. The request for an additional camp at Ponce of the southern coast is expected in the near future. This contract change order is valued at approximately $75 million for services over the next 90 days.

“We are proud to be assisting in the hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico and anticipate the first camp will be operational shortly,” said DI’s LOGCAP IV vice president, Rob Tillery.

LOGCAP is a Department of Army regulatory program providing a broad range of contracted logistics and support services to augment U.S. and allied forces.
