Atlanta Journal-Constitution Honors Outstanding Teachers For Their Influence On Students, The Community

ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) announces the honorees of its inaugural AJC Celebrating Teachers Awards. At an exclusive event tonight, the 10 metro Atlanta teachers will be recognized for their positive impact on students' lives and the local community.

More than 375 public and private school teachers, kindergarten-12th grade, were nominated for this award.

"Nothing is worth more to parents than knowing that dedicated teachers are educating, inspiring and encouraging their children," AJC Editor Kevin Riley said. The honorees were chosen by a panel of four academic leaders who each represent local universities and Georgia's professional education standards. The honorees are:
