Dental Organization to Honor Service Men and Women with Free Care on Veterans Day

As the country prepares to celebrate Veterans Day, Chicagoland Smile Group is proud to announce its second annual free dental day, Mission:Veteran Smiles. On Saturday, November 11, the group will offer free dental services to local veterans and their families at two of its partner locations.

Over 50 volunteers from 12 area dental offices will provide exams, x-rays, cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other dental treatments free of charge. Over $150,000 of dental work will be delivered to 300 patients as a gesture of gratitude to members of the armed forces and their families for their service and sacrifice.

“Mission: Veteran Smiles provides a unique way of giving back to our heroes, with so many service men and women in need of essential dental care,” said Roger Murray, CEO of Chicagoland Smile Group. “We’re excited to bring Mission:Veteran Smiles to two Manus Dental locations this year and are grateful for the generosity of our partners at Henry Schein and Ivoclar, who’ve donated dental supplies necessary to make this a successful event.”

Same-day dental services will be provided for veterans and their immediate family members on a first come, first served basis, from 8am to 4pm on Saturday, November 11. Local vets and family members can choose from two Chicago locations: Manus Dental Northwestern (676 N. Michigan Avenue) or Manus Dental Hyde Park (1646 E. 55th St.). Patients must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by a guardian if under age 18.
