AT&T Celebrates New Retail Store Design in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, N.C., Nov. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T(*) is celebrating a new 6,000-square-foot entertainment-focused retail store in Jacksonville. The store is among the first of many new and remodeled AT&T stores that aim to offer customers the content and entertainment they want virtually whenever and wherever.

The new entertainment store design is an evolution 2 years in the making and will reach 45 stores this year. It will be the design for all AT&T stores moving forward, both new and renovated.

"Shoppers at our Jacksonville store will have an interactive experience that fits their mobile lifestyle," said Anthony Morado, assistant vice president general manager, AT&T Mid-Atlantic. "We want to provide an exceptional experience, and we've been working hard to take our stores and network to a new level here in Jacksonville."

Some key features of the new store format are:

    --  Entertainment, everywhere. Our new stores illustrate the intersection of
        content and connection. We train our reps to show how services, like
        DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW and products can add value to your connected
        life. And now that story is all about entertainment.
    --  Smartphones and more. We've moved the phones off the walls to the center
        of the store to make it easier to compare and choose what's best for
        you. We also have two focus areas to show the most popular brands that
        have products like AR glasses, tablets or smartwatches that work with
        your smartphone. We expanded our lineup of accessories, and we've made
        them easier to find.
    --  A comfortable experience. We've designed these stores for you to have a
        personal connection with our reps and services. And we know selecting a
        phone, plan and sometimes adding TV and home broadband to your list
        takes longer than grabbing a shirt off the rack.  So we added
        comfortable areas where you and our reps can work together.

As part of the grand opening celebration Nov. 11, AT&T will present Sturgeon City, a non-profit organization specializing in civic and environmental education, with a $1,000 donation to provide hands-on science based educational programming to local students. Sturgeon City provides programs and events to area youth to cultivate a love and understanding of science and the environment.

The new store in Jacksonville is located at 1325 Western Blvd. The hours of operation are: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday.
