Trinseo to Share Plastics Expertise at CES 2018

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), a global materials solutions provider and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, announces that it will participate in the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 9 – 12, 2018.

Trinseo will host a number of presentations on High Performance Plastics for the Consumer Electronics Industry in the Venetian Towers, Hospitality Suites area, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the show.

Trinseo has been a trusted supplier of polycarbonate, polystyrene and ABS compounds to consumer technology customers, focused on Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, Lighting and Automotive. With its cross-industry experience, the company has helped customers with challenges ranging from biocompatible plastics for skin contact applications, to chemical resistant materials that won’t degrade from chemical aggressors, to transparent and diffusion materials for proper aesthetics in LED-type applications, to plastics with recycled content.

“We’re seeing a rapid convergence among the consumer technology areas and, in many ways, plastics have been an enabler of the advancements in the marketplace. With plastics, product developers and designers have flexibility in design. They have the ability to light weight and miniaturize as well as tremendous possibilities with aesthetics, coloring, and haptics,” said Dr. Tony Samurkas, who directs performance plastics technology development at Trinseo. “We’re also seeing customers with performance property needs that they may not have had to consider in the past. This is where Trinseo excels. Custom material solutions have always been our specialty.”

CES attendees can meet with Trinseo in the Venetian Towers Hospitality Suites for a brief overview of its materials presented by Dr. Samurkas, followed by an opportunity to discuss specific application needs with Trinseo application development specialists. Please join us on Tuesday, January 9 and Wednesday, January 10 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (presentations will be held at 10:40 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.) or Thursday, January 11 from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (presentations will be held at 3:40 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.) You can express your interest through the link above or drop in during scheduled times.
