Webasto Appoints Head Of North American Electric Vehicle Charging Business

FENTON, Mich., Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Webasto Thermo & Comfort North America, a global tier-one automotive and aftermarket equipment manufacturer, expands on its automotive leadership position by entering into the North American electric vehicle (EV) charging business. The EV charging products are being presented for the first time in North America at CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fortifying its commitment to participate in the electric vehicle market, Webasto has appointed Mr. John Thomas as Head of Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions North America. Thomas' focus will be to provide one of the most comprehensive electric vehicle charging approaches, as Webasto is one of the only suppliers to offer a true OEM end-to-end charging solution backed by many years of experience in the automotive industry.

Prior to this new assignment, Thomas held various other positions at Webasto including over 25 years of OEM business execution and leadership, as well as many years of aftermarket expertise.
