Royal Danish F-16s Lead the Digital Fight | RDAF Accepts Delivery Stauder HydeDM™ 302

It’s as simple as swapping out the box. The same technology developed by Stauder Technologies to extend the digital interoperability of the AV-8B Harrier, is now available for F-16s.

Among the first to capitalize on the newly available capability, the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) completed its flight tests and accepted delivery of HydeDM™302 tactical data link in December.

Contracting with Stauder Technologies, Denmark leads the charge to make F-16s operationally relevant in the increasingly critical Digitally Aided Close Air Support mission by replacing the outdated IDM 302, which uses obsolete digital messaging technology, with Stauder’s HydeDM™302.

With a simple swap to HydeDM™ 302 right by aircraft maintainers, allied F-16 operating countries around the world become immediately interoperable with all NATO and coalition JTAC ground kits, and virtually any other VMF capable airborne platform.

The HydeDM™ 302 is a member of the Stauder Technologies Hyde™ family of battlefield interoperability systems, designed to be a low cost “plug-and-play” avionics replacement. The HydeDM™ 302 is packaged with the Joint Effects Coordination Link (JECL®) digital interoperability engine, which guarantees compatibility with other Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) systems.
