NAPE Summit 2018 to Celebrate 25th Anniversary During NAPE Week Feb. 5-9 in Houston

NAPE Summit Week, taking place February 5-9, 2018 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, will celebrate 25 years of bringing together dealmakers from around the world to connect and reconnect. With over 12,000 oil and gas professionals anticipated to attend this year’s event, NAPE Summit Week will welcome key industry players, such as BP America Production Company, Shell Exploration and Production Company, ConocoPhillips, and Chevron U.S.A. Inc., among the 700 exhibitors onsite.

NAPE Summit Week will include annual favorite events, such as the Global Business Conference, Icebreaker and NAPE Charities Industry Luncheon, in addition to 25th anniversary special features, like the Summit sweepstakes drawing for a silver 2018 Ford F-150.

“Over the past 25 years, NAPE has grown from one event with 800 attendees and 80 booths to two annual events with thousands of attendees and hundreds of booths,” said Gregory M. Riedl, chairman of the NAPE Operators Committee. “NAPE has delivered a tremendous impact on the nature of our business and the progress of our industry, forever changing the way we make deals happen. The celebration of this 25th anniversary is both a milestone in NAPE’s history and a testament to the strength and longevity of the oil and gas industry.”

In celebration of the expo’s silver anniversary, 18 past NAPE chairmen will be recognized during a special ceremony at the Global Business Conference Luncheon.

“In 1992, the American Association of Professional Landmen created an event that gave landmen, geologists, investors, financiers and small to large E&Ps a more efficient approach to connect and work together,” said Le'Ann Callihan, director of NAPE. “We look forward to honoring the many past chairmen of NAPE during this 25th anniversary event and celebrating their significant contributions to the oil and gas industry.”

The Global Business Conference will offer a day of learning about industry topics, insights and trends, featuring keynote speaker Chesapeake Energy President and Chief Executive Officer Doug Lawler. Attendees will listen to seminars and presentations from C-suite presenters from Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, BHP Billiton Petroleum, Cheniere Energy, Hess Corporation, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and more.

The NAPE Summit Charities Luncheon has a history of featuring distinguished keynote speakers, including Former First Lady Laura Bush, former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell and 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush. This year, award-winning journalist Tom Brokaw will keynote the NAPE Summit Charities Luncheon on February 8.

As part of the luncheon, the NAPE Charity Fund will donate at least $150,000 to K9s for Warriors, Operation Homefront and The Mission Continues. Since 2009, the NAPE Charities Luncheon has raised more than $3.1 million for charities supporting U.S. veterans.

The Summit exhibit floor will showcase two days of domestic and international Prospect Previews and Capital and Service Provider Previews in the NAPE theaters, allowing exhibitors to preview current prospects and pitch services to drive traffic to their booths on the show floor.
