Base2 Solutions Earns AS9100 Rev D Accreditation

Base2 Solutions, a leading professional services company serving the aerospace industry, recently earned its AS9100 Revision D accreditation, and is among the first software firms to do so.

This specific version of the ISO-9001 standard was established to improve quality and delivery for companies working within the aircraft and aerospace industries. By complying with this new standard, Base2 has demonstrated their embrace of the new aviation requirements and best practices as a partner in the process of supply chain improvement.

The evolution of Base2’s QMS from AS9100 Rev. C to Rev. D was an arduous task and required more than 80 percent of their process to be revised. Members from all of their technical groups were actively engaged with the process team to ensure new and revised processes would meet their customers' needs, their internal requirements as well as the revised AS9100 standard. Because of the shortened timeframe, their internal audit staff redoubled their efforts to ensure all of the process audits would be completed prior to external certification. Base2 leadership threw their full support behind the effort, allocating needed resources to ensure success. The external certification audit was completed with no findings.
