Riverain Technologies’ ClearRead CT Adopted by W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center – Salisbury, N.C.

W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center – Salisbury, N.C., a part of VISN 6, has adopted Riverain’s ClearRead CT software site-wide as a way to improve patient care to their entire veteran population. With nearly 13.4% of all veterans falling within the “high risk” lung cancer screening patient demographic1, VA Salisbury found it important and critical to adopt the cutting edge ClearRead CT software to address the need for earlier detection of lung nodules.

ClearRead CT is the first FDA cleared concurrent read device incorporating a novel vessel suppression technology based on deep learning that aids in the detection and characterization of solid, part-solid and ground glass lung nodules. According to a study published in the American Journal of Roentgenology, with the use of ClearRead CT, radiologists are able to improve reading efficiency by 26% and increase reading accuracy by 29%2.

“At the Salisbury VA Medical Center, we take great pride in providing our Veterans with the most up to date, highest quality care available,” said Dr. David Keadle, Chief of Imaging. “Riverain’s ClearRead CT software helps our doctors provide more timely and accurate reports, which will result in better outcomes for our veterans.”

“Riverain Technologies is honored that the Salisbury VA Medical Center has adopted ClearRead CT,” said Steve Worrell, CEO of Riverain Technologies. “We look forward to making a contribution in the care of our veterans.”
