Aviation Capital Group Adds Additional Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan™ Engines to Power Fleet of Airbus A320neo Family Aircraft

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has selected Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engines to power an additional seven firm A320neo family aircraft, bringing the leasing company's total to 20 firm GTF-powered A320neo and A321neo aircraft. ACG currently manages over 60 aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney and IAE International Aero Engines AG, a multinational aero engine consortium whose shareholders comprise Pratt & Whitney; Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH; Japanese Aero Engines Corporation; and MTU Aero Engines GmbH. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Since entering into service in early 2016, the GTF engine has demonstrated its promised ability to reduce fuel burn by 16 percent, to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 50 percent to the regulatory standard, and to lower the noise footprint by 75 percent.
