Brewer Science Rolls Out End-to-End Printed Electronics System Integration Services

MONTEREY, Calif., Feb. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Feb. 15, 2018 - Brewer Science, Inc., today launched its Sensor System Solutions program at the 2018 Flexible Electronics Conference. The new offering provides full consulting services to support customers from design through integration, to achieve complete, high-performance electronic systems. Leveraging Brewer Science's materials expertise allows for highly optimized integration of the company's printed InFlect(TM) family of flex, moisture, thermistor, gas, and water sensors into customer designs. This enables a plethora of new applications that take sensing where it's never been before, with a faster time to market.

While sensors provide the foundation of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the industrial IoT (IIOT), they are just the first step in obtaining meaningful and usable data output. After the sensor captures raw analog data, the data must then be processed and converted into information that is used and transmitted by IoT nodes. Additionally, to fully support the needs of the IoT now and in the future, each node must be designed to perform a variety of functions. Designing these highly customized sensor system solutions requires a combination of analog and digital engineering expertise, as well as specialized knowledge of printed and flexible sensors, to achieve the desired form factors and sizes.

"Because the stimuli response of a sensor is based on the material science of the sensing layer, it's important to fully understand the chemistry involved," explained Dominic Miranda, printed electronics business development manager at Brewer Science. "Materials can have a butterfly effect on the end device. With material science at our core, combined with a team that has deep embedded design experience, Brewer Science is uniquely qualified to take customers through the entire system development process. No other sensor provider can do this for its customers."

Brewer Science's Sensor System Solutions program supports customers throughout the entire development process. Support includes designing a customized sensor so it responds to desired stimuli; integrating it with analog and digital electronic components for signal conditioning and processing; developing associated firmware and software; and finally, connecting the processor with communication devices for transmission to a network. This service provides customers with a faster, more robust path to creating customized sensor systems, regardless of their in-house design capabilities.

Brewer Science's experts are available for meetings to discuss Sensor Systems Solutions during the Flexible Electronics Conference February 12-15 in Monterey, California. More information is available at www.brewerscience.com/products/printed-sensor-systems.
