Nicor Gas Selects Sensus for Meter Modernization Program

(Click to Tweet) – Sensus, a Xylem brand, has been selected by Nicor Gas, the largest natural gas distribution company in Illinois, as the technology provider for its Meter Modernization program. Nicor Gas serves 2.2 million customers in a service territory that encompasses most of the northern third of Illinois, excluding the city of Chicago.

The utility will begin deployment of the Sensus FlexNet® communication network and radio modules for its natural gas meters this year.
