Envistacom Boasts Record Revenue, Fortifies Communications Capabilities and Innovation Initiatives

Envistacom today announced that it captured record revenue in 2017, nearly doubling revenue year over year, with the company positioned to exceed more than 2000 percent growth in revenue since its founding in 2011.

A core driver of the Georgia-based defense contractor’s exponential growth is the Envistacom Innovation Center, which offers strategic support as an innovation and rapid-prototyping facility to develop best possible solutions for customers across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and global intelligence community. Less than six months following the facility’s grand opening in October 2017, Envistacom is already expanding its research and innovation footprint by more than 50 percent and forming the Envistacom Innovation Group in response to customer demand.

“Following a record year, Envistacom is building on significant contract vehicle and task order award momentum with a focus on innovation across core capabilities, including communications,” said Alyssa Carson, President, and Founder, Envistacom. “With a rapidly growing global network of experts and an expanding remit with the U.S. DoD, we remain steadfast in our mission to equip America’s warfighters with the technology and tools necessary to help make the world a safer place.”

In his role as Vice President, Strategy and Technology, Michael will develop the future growth strategy for the company and work in close collaboration with the Envistacom Innovation Group to design and deploy solutions that embrace that strategy and enhance the company’s communications, counterterrorism, and cyber offerings creating new dimensions of value or presenting sizeable advantages for our warfighters where they need it most.

Joining Envistacom as the Vice President, Innovation, Tom Cox is a 20+ year veteran of the satellite industry with experience developing innovative hardware, software, and mobile communications platforms, as well as launching multiple technology startups. Tom will lead the Envistacom Innovation Group and oversee the development of a new wave of secure, resilient and adaptable technologies that are anchored by Tom’s philosophy that “Space 2.0 requires Integration 2.0”. Additionally, Tom’s passion for entrepreneurship helps further Envistacom’s investment in the military community and veteran-owned businesses, such as the company’s support of Patriot Boot Camp.

Formed to address customer demand for research and development services, the Envistacom Innovation Group is charged with engineering disruptive, scalable and modular hardware and software solutions as well as developing and integrating open standards architecture platforms and services that enable those solutions. This team will identify complex customer challenges and develop solutions that address these underlying needs to dramatically improve efficiencies or fill gaps in capability.

Recognized as a 2017 “Best Place to Work” in Atlanta, and as one of Georgia’s fastest-growing private companies two years running, Envistacom is poised for continued growth into 2018 with a clear focus on its core mission: to work with the DoD and allied partners to equip America’s warfighters with the proper technology to counter existing and emerging threats and protect military personnel, civilians and critical infrastructure.
