Penn, Lioy Launch Brain+Trust Insights

Industry Leaders In Predictive Analytics Establish New Firm

BOSTON, March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Christopher Penn and Katie Lioy, noted marketing technology pioneers in analytics, today announced the formation of Brain+Trust Insights, a new company focused on helping companies connect, understand, predict, and act on the "dark data" laying dormant in most organizations.

Penn, an IBM Watson Champion, industry-awarded veteran, and author of more than two dozen marketing books, will serve as the primary product and service development leader for the new company; Lioy, with more than a dozen years of building and managing large, multi-discipline/multi-million dollar teams, will serve as CEO and manage the firm's operations and client relationships.

Most companies generate enormous amounts of data that goes unused; everything from marketing analytics to ERP data to customer experience to product development generates significant amounts of data. Most of that data isn't exploited for insights that could help the business improve customer experience, lower operating costs, or predict consumer behaviors that could inform planning and product development. Brain+Trust Insights will use predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and customer journey mapping to help companies maximize their use of this data.

"Our goal is to help businesses make better decisions, faster, to transform companies," said Katie Lioy, CEO of Brain+Trust Insights. "While the core of the business is data processing, the outcome of that data is to work side-by-side with people to make better, smarter decisions."

Brain+Trust Insights, an independent company with its own operations, is a co-vested interest in and of Brain+Trust Partners, the management and digital transformation consultancy formed in 2016 by digital media veterans Christopher Barger, Tim Hayden, and Scott Monty. The two organizations will collaborate on new solutions, leverage responsibilities for mutual clients and work closely together to provide a wide variety of services to each other's client roster.

"For Brain+Trust Partners, the addition of predictive analytics capability and machine learning truly amplifies our ability to help clients see around corners and connect disparate opportunities while iterating digital transformation efforts," said Monty, Brain+Trust Partners CEO. "At the same time, Brain+Trust Partners offers Brain+Trust Insights additional consultative services that can help clients accelerate success with the data and insights they unlock."

The new company will begin operations immediately.
