Casio Introduces Revamped Next-Generation Point-Of-Sale Software

DOVER, N.J., March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc. has rebranded their V-R7000 point-of-sale (POS) software application from "QSR" to CHAPP (Casio Hospitality Application), which is designed for both the quick and table service operations. The CHAPP version 4.1.0 application is now available in the U.S. and Canada and is designed to operate on Casio's Android(TM)-based V-R7000 and V-R7100 15.6" widescreen touchscreen terminals.

"Casio prides itself on having our ears to the ground, listening to the wants and needs of our customers," said Lawrence W. Sampey, General Manager of Casio's Systems Products Division. "We aim to provide reliable and innovative hardware and software solutions to ensure we maintain our position as an industry leader and CHAPP is the outstanding result of our efforts."

The new features and interfaces on the CHAPP software are designed around the table service industry. One of the new interfaces is a mobile app. that will run on any Android tablet using version 5.0 or higher. The Casio mobile app., called CMO (Casio Mobile Order), provides operators the ability to take orders at tables on the restaurant floor. Upon saving the order, the information is immediately transferred to the V-R7000 and routed to the various printers in the system. Additional features include multiple graphical table maps, splitting checks and items, transferring checks, time and attendance, a biometric interface for fingerprint recognition and many more features.

The V-R7000 is an Android-based POS terminal highlighted by a 15.6" wide touch screen in a thin ergonomically-designed cabinet and pedestal. This terminal is designed without a fan, hard disk drive or any movable components to ensure store operations by eliminating common hardware problems business owners can experience with traditional PC-based hardware.
