Falkonry and Ciner Resources Discuss Smart Manufacturing at Silicon Valley Women in Engineering Conference

Falkonry, Inc., a leading provider of operational machine learning for Global 2000 industrial companies, today announced that company founder and CEO, Nikunj Mehta, and Jolene Baker, SMART Plant Lead with Ciner Resources mining company, will be co-presenters at this weekend’s sold out Silicon Valley Women In Engineering “Win the Future” conference. This fourth annual event gathers students, professors and women leaders in a one-day conference, Saturday, March 17, that includes twelve TechTalks, six professional development workshops, four engineering career panels, and a new Innovation Showcase and Networking Reception.

 

WHAT:

The Smart Manufacturing Panel includes discussions around the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing known as Industry 4.0. Smart manufacturing processes employ computer controls, modeling, big data and other automation to improve manufacturing efficiencies. For Falkonry’s portion of the panel, Mehta and Baker will present “Smart Manufacturing: The Revolution Story Foretold” that highlights Ciner Resources’ success utilizing ready-to-use machine learning and predictive analytics systems.

WHO:

Nikunj Mehta founded Falkonry after realizing that highly valuable operational data produced in industrial infrastructure goes mostly unutilized in the energy, manufacturing and transportation sectors. He believes hard business problems can be solved by combining machine learning, user-oriented design and partnerships. He holds both a Master’s and Ph. D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
 
Jolene Baker is SMART Plant Lead at Ciner Resources and responsible for implementing data analytics at the company. Baker started in Process and Project Engineering at Ciner Resources and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
