USG Corporation Receives Excellence in Construction Innovation Award

USG Corporation (NYSE: USG), an industry-leading manufacturer of building products and innovative solutions, is pleased to announce its USG Sheetrock® Brand EcoSmart wallboard panels earned the 2018 Excellence in Construction Innovation Award by the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI). The award recognizes products, services, materials, technologies or systems that improve the means and methods utilized in the wall and ceiling industry.

Developed to meet increased demand for more sustainable building products, USG Sheetrock® Brand EcoSmart Panels are manufactured with up to 25 percent less water and 20 percent less CO2. These panels are up to 30 percent lighter than competing drywall, which allows workers to install with greater ease for both walls and ceilings and while being less expensive to ship. USG Sheetrock® Brand EcoSmart Panels may also contribute to achieving additional USGBC® LEED® v4.0 credits and meet the requirements of the Living Building Challenge.
