Massachusetts Mayflower Academy Earns AdvancED Accreditation

Massachusetts Mayflower Academy, a nonprofit full-time online private high school powered The Virtual High School (VHS Inc.), has received accreditation from AdvancED, a global leader in providing continuous improvement and accreditation services.

BOSTON, March 29, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Massachusetts Mayflower Academy, a nonprofit full-time online private high school powered The Virtual High School (VHS Inc.), has received accreditation from AdvancED, a global leader in providing continuous improvement and accreditation services. An AdvancED external review team recommended the academy for accreditation after reviewing the school on May 31 - June 2, 2017.

The AdvancED review team determined that Massachusetts Mayflower Academy "provides a state of the art technology platform, including a multifaceted LMS and SIS that support teacher effectiveness and student success." Upon evaluating the academy's offering of more than 200 courses, the team reported that the Massachusetts Mayflower Academy "proprietary curriculum is designed to promote high learning expectations that lead to student achievement and preparation for the next level."

Additionally, the review team analyzed the academy's institutional purpose and direction. It found that Massachusetts Mayflower Academy "leadership and staff at all levels have cultivated a culture that promotes high-quality standards in the digital leaning environment."
