WARRENDALE, Pa., Apr. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SAE International has introduced new Author Accepted Manuscripts as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the organization's scholarly journals program. A first for the mobility engineering industry and for commercial publishers at large, the Author Accepted Manuscripts initiative grants readers free access to newly submitted research from industry thought leaders, even before it has been copy-edited, for up to a week. The implementation of SAE International's Author Accepted Manuscripts comes in response to the demand from organizations throughout the aerospace and ground vehicle industries for better, faster access to high-quality research.

"We're very excited about the opportunity to connect our scholarly journals authors and readers earlier in the publication process," said Frank Menchaca, Chief Product Officer for SAE International. "The state-of-the-art research found in our journals, often regarding breaking developments, is crucial to the work of our readers, so we believe they should be among the first to access it."

SAE International's scholarly journals cover all areas relevant to ground vehicle and aerospace engineering technology, including transportation cybersecurity and privacy; connected and automated vehicles; electronic and mechanical systems; engines, fuels and lubricants; transportation safety; materials and manufacturing; vehicle dynamics; and alternative powertrains. The thoroughly peer-reviewed journals aim to meet the needs of academic and industry authors, researchers, and readers in a medium tailored for the discovery, integration, and application of research.

All SAE scholarly journals, published by SAE International, are available for subscription via SAE MOBILUS®, the technical resource platform created by the international automotive and aerospace mobility community. Key features of SAE MOBILUS include in-platform annotation, exploratory Knowledge Hubs, and an intuitive, customizable dashboard.
