SportsEngine Partners with Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to Provide Technology Solutions to Pennsylvania-based Hockey Organizations

Foundation to offer SportsEngine's best-in-class league and team management tools to Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League (PAHL) and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL)

MINNEAPOLIS, May 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SportsEngine, Inc., an NBC Sports Group company, is partnering with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to offer its youth sports technology platform to the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League (PAHL) and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL) and their member organizations.

The PAHL and PIHL will move to the SportsEngine platform and utilize SportsEngine's website tools, league management, scoring, team management, online registration, and background screening services. All member organizations within PAHL and PIHL leagues will also be incentivized to transition to the SportsEngine platform.

With these tools, the PAHL and PHIL and their member organizations will be able to drastically reduce the time they spend on administration and communication, allowing them to focus more time on developing their athletes. With the forging of this partnership, the Penguins Foundation will help subsidize the cost of SportsEngine's technology solutions to the PAHL and PIHL member organizations.

"We are always looking for ways to support our grassroots organizations across western Pennsylvania," said Dave Soltesz, Executive Director, Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation. "Partnering with SportsEngine will allow us to provide them with best-in-class sports technology to help them improve their day-to-day operations."

More than 1 million teams, leagues and clubs use SportsEngine to run their website, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps.

"With the increasing cost of sports, we're committed to finding creative ways to help make sports participation more affordable and efficient for organizations and their member families," said Jessie Doig, Pro Sports Executive, SportsEngine. "By partnering with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation we are helping to provide over 90 youth hockey organizations with affordable access to our technology to run their clubs."
