ISG Automation Summit to Explore 'Bot 3.0'

STAMFORD, Conn., June 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Business leaders will learn how to expand their "bot vision" and scale their automation programs across the enterprise at the upcoming ISG Automation Summit hosted by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm.

The event, to be held July 18-19 at Convene in New York City, will feature the automation success stories of such leading companies as Kraft Heinz, BNY Mellon, U.S. Bank, BB&T, Mastercard, Dover, iHeartMedia and more.

"Many companies have accomplished Bot 1.0. They've assessed the need for and implemented their first wave of bots. Their initial investments are paying off," said Mark Davison, partner and global leader of ISG Robotic and Cognitive Automation. "But to become truly digital companies, enterprises today need to get to Bot 3.0. That is, they need a digital platform with a framework that allows them to scale - and coordinate - automation initiatives across the enterprise."

Davison advocates having a "bot vision," a living strategy and implementation plan encompassing all aspects of automation, including cognitive, artificial intelligence and analytics, that extends across the organization and reaches into such corporate functions as supply chain, HR, finance and IT. He addresses the Bot 3.0 concept in a recent ISG white paper.

Through a series of "BOTnote" feature presentations, expert insights and client panels, attendees will be able to dive into their own automation journeys through such topics as "Bot 3.0: Are You Ready?"; "Cognitive: All Talk or Reality?" and "Blockchain for Dummies: How to Think About the Potential for Blockchain in Finance & Accounting - and Automation!" Participants will be able to engage with each other and industry experts in an open dialogue to discover where they are on their automation journeys, share the lessons they've learned along the way, and understand the importance of organizational change management in preparing employees for the adoption of automation at scale across the enterprise.

The full-day event on July 19 is preceded by an optional half-day workshop, "Eye Openers, Eyesores and I Told Ya So's: Lessons Learned from Installation to Deployment," on July 18 that will feature a question-and-answer exchange with robotic and cognitive experts on how to overcome the business, technical and infrastructure challenges many companies face when preparing for the introduction of automation.

The ISG Automation Summit combines strategic guidance with practical advice about the promise and perils of automation and digital labor and their implications for the workplace. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the automation opportunity in their IT or business services environment as well as how to build the business case and begin the process.

The event is sponsored by Automation Anywhere, Atos, Blue Prism and IBM. Media partners include CIO Review, Innovation Leadership Forum, Outsourcing Digest and the VR/AR Association.

Additional information about the event, as well as registration, can be found on the event website.
