InventHelp Inventor Develops Mechanic's Tool for Valve Keeper Removal (LCC-3814)

PITTSBURGH, July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In order to replace or remove the intake and exhaust valves on a motor vehicle engine, the keepers at the stems of the valves must be removed. This task can be a challenge, as they are located in a tight spot which can be difficult to access and cause pinched fingers.

An inventor from Mt. Wolf, Penn, has invented VALVE KEEPER TOOL, a hand tool for automotive mechanics and do-it-yourselfers designed to retrieve round keepers at the valve stems of motor vehicle engines. "As someone who has a background in working on motor vehicles, I can appreciate how difficult it can be to retrieve the valve keeper on an engine," said the inventor. "I invented this tool to simplify that process." VALVE KEEPER TOOL provides improved access to small components within a motor vehicle, helping to prevent pinched fingers.

This invention reduces valve keeper removal time from around 30 minutes to roughly 10 minutes. It is especially beneficial for foreign engine repairs, but can be used on domestic engines too. It saves that and reduces frustration, improving job satisfaction for mechanics.

The original design was submitted to the Lancaster office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
