IBTS Launches a Strategic Initiative with the Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP)
ASHBURN, Va., July 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) is pleased to announce that it recently formed a strategic initiative with the Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP), with the intent to integrate BCAP into the IBTS family over the next six months. This alliance creates a significant growth opportunity for IBTS in the energy code and high-performance building arenas.
Founded in 1994, BCAP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the adoption, implementation, and advancement of building energy codes at national, state, local, and international levels through technical support, education, and policy development. IBTS recognized BCAP as a go-to energy codes resource and instantly saw a synergy of missions and goals. BCAP will continue its valuable work, including the highly informative BCAP website, delivery of its Code Alerts, a state-based Energy Code Ambassador Program (ECAP), and policy support.

Throughout the partnership, BCAP will be identified as the IBTS Building Codes Assistance Program (IBTS-BCAP). Together, IBTS-BCAP will identify new opportunities to support governments and other organizations with greater subject matter expertise, technology solutions, training, and program support.
