Dayton Power & Light Earns S.E.E. Safety Performance Award for Top Performance for Fleet Safety

The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), was honored with the Southeastern Electric Exchange’s (S.E.E.) “Safety Performance Award for Top Performance for Fleet Safety” as the safest performer in 2017 amongst all member companies. DP&L received the award at S.E.E.’s 2018 Annual Conference and Trade Show held in Orlando, Florida.

The Safety Performance Award for Top Performance for Fleet Safety recognizes the participating member company that achieves the top (lowest) safety record for the year. DP&L’s preventable vehicle accident rate was the best across all of the operating companies within S.E.E. during 2017. Companies track key performance data for vehicles, including miles driven and total accidents through the year to compute vehicle incident rates. Earning this award for their safety leadership among highly recognized peers in the utility industry is an honor.
