Jen Thornburg Named Senior Manager for Field Operations and Production of Illinois American Water’s Chicago Metro District

Jen Thornburg has been named Senior Manager of Field Operations and Production for Illinois American Water’s Chicago Metro District, effective June 25, 2018.

Thornburg comes to Illinois American Water with more than 20 years of diverse experience, holding many roles with the Exelon Corporation and ComEd in the Chicago area. She has a strong utility operations background as well as experience in customer service and government relations.

“I look forward to the leadership and contributions Jen will make in this role. Her experience will help ensure continued high-quality water and wastewater service to our customers in the Chicago Metro service area,” said Mike Smyth, vice president of operations.

Thornburg holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
