Gale and Maine State Library Partner to Provide Residents and Students Free Access to New Digital Resources

AUGUSTA, Maine and FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Maine State Library has partnered with Gale, a Cengage company, to provide nearly 1,000 school, academic and public libraries throughout Maine with free access to Gale digital resources. These new resources provide Maine residents and students with high-quality content that supports learning, research, business, career development and personal enrichment. Now Maine libraries can provide exceptional research experiences to their learners and communities to meet their educational, informational and cultural needs. Gale's new digital resources include databases, periodicals and reference content that are accessible 24/7 from any computer or mobile device without the use of a library card or password. This enables users to seamlessly access Gale's authoritative content, eliminating barriers to access resources. Additionally, many of the resources feature integrated workflow tools from Google and Microsoft, as well as language translation, downloadable audio and easy ways to share and save content.
