nVent Electric plc (NYSE: NVT) (“nVent”), a global leader in electrical connection and protection solutions, announced its HOFFMAN Angled Trough enclosure was selected from more than 150 new products to receive Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) magazine’s 2018 Product of the Year Platinum Award. This is the highest recognition from the publication, which is read by more than 130,000 electrical professionals.

The Angled Trough enclosure, which was also recognized as a 2017 best product by the National Electrical Contractors Association, makes it easier for electrical contractors to safely distribute and enclose wires for indoor commercial applications. By enabling conduit runs through all six sides of the enclosure, including the front, it eliminates the need for manual 90-degree conduit bends and helps cut total installation time by 80 percent. Created for use in wire distribution, junctions and terminations in a variety of indoor commercial applications, the Angled Trough enclosure’s patented angled design substantially reduces total installation time, frees up valuable real estate on the wall, and simplifies mounting and assembly.
