Infor Supports Eiffage in Largest IT project Undertaken by a Construction Company in France

NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, today announced that French construction group Eiffage has chosen Infor to optimize, harmonize and secure the management of the maintenance of its machinery and equipment tool assets, as well as its 20,000 light vehicles.

This project aims to reinforce the safety conditions of the group's workforce by complying with regulatory obligations of equipment maintenance. It also aims to improve profitability through four major challenges:

    --  The optimization of operational efficiency;
    --  The availability and the performance of equipment on construction sites;
    --  Better governing ability;
    -- A reduction of associated management costs.

With over 170,000 pieces of equipment and machinery to maintain and operate, Eiffage has chosen to join up with a technology partner able to provide real-time visibility across its entire fleet, so that equipment can be allocated in a timely, rational, profitable and efficient way amongst the various projects being held within the group's various works divisions (Construction, Energy Systems and Infrastructures).

Eiffage has decided to partner with Infor in order to equip its business users (from the maintenance technician, through the storekeeper, the workshop manager and the park manager to the regional and branch material manager) with Infor EAM, coupled with d/EPM. Today, no less than 1,500 users spread over more than 150 sites benefit from the right tools to manage and maintain their industrial equipment; make the best use of their material and equipment, manage the supply of inventory, control investments budgets and operating costs, governing average utilization rates and optimizing the management of vehicle fleets.

The partnership between Infor and the Eiffage Group aims to meet three challenges. The first involves managing the Group's fleet of vehicles in order to improve productivity by relying on 100% digital solutions capable of offering an optimal user experience (particularly thanks to Infor OS, formerly Infor Xi). The second challenge is the joint development, within Infor EAM, of a particularly ergonomic and intuitive equipment maintenance and operation planning solution. The third challenge is to take into account the expectations and demands of field technicians by providing them, through Infor Transit, the tools to accelerate the process of reporting interventions and scores.

"Eiffage's project fits logically into the calendar of a company of this size, facing a constant increasing level of complexity related to equipment and budget management," says Frédéric Russo, Regional VP EMEA, Enterprise Asset Management Solutions, Infor. "The technological partnership between Eiffage and Infor will provide employees of the group with greater flexibility, reducing disruption areas through better equipment allocation, reducing the risk of accidents on construction sites through preventive maintenance (and soon predictive maintenance) and improving overall collaboration between employees who will know exactly, in real time, where equipment is, when it can be available and in which state they are".

"This project with Infor Consulting Services is a large-scale transformation project," says Mikael Goeta, Director, IT Project Management & Information Systems within the Eiffage Group. "As part of a general digital transformation plan, it was imperative for us to be able to rely on innovative functionally rich solutions capable of integrating all our processes, which is easy to use, scalable, quick to implement. It must also be capable of gathering our employees behind a common critical objective: the intelligent management of our equipment, which constitute for our teams the essence of our business. To date, we have deployed 20 sites covering all of the Group's businesses. The objective is now to extend this deployment to all other Group sites before the end of 2019 (another 135 sites)."

"This project has been mutually rewarding and constitutes a lasting asset in the relationship between our two companies", concludes Laurent Cavailhès, Project Director at Infor.

Eiffage group is one of the European leaders in the field of public buildings and works sector and concessions. The Group draws on the experience of more than 65,000 employees and generated sales of EUR15 billion in 2017, amongst which nearly 21% were generated outside of France.
