Huobi Group announces Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program Winners
SINGAPORE, Sept. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Huobi Group today held the Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program (HCSCP) Finals, where the winners, and new leaders of the Huobi Public Chain were selected by Huobi users and community members: G-Star Team.
As winners of the Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program, the team consisting mainly of Larry Liu, Founder of Genaro Network together with five other members will lead the development of the Huobi Chain, an open-source and public blockchain. The team will take their place alongside the members of the Huobi Chain Expert Advisory Committee, which includes prominent figures in the tech industry such as Don Tapscott and Randi Zuckerberg.
The HCSCP was a 21-month long hackathon that was divided into 10 milestones, with participating teams competing for the prize pool. The contest aims to incentivize the community to participate in building the Huobi public chain from the ground up. Huobi received over 400 contest applications, from teams based in more than 20 countries around the world, including China, the United States, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands.
Huobi Chain is a new initiative launched by Huobi Group that will see the exchange's cryptocurrency trading move from centralized servers to a distributed ledger format. In addition, this open-source project may also be used for other products and services, such as securitization and fundraising. Huobi Group will fund the Huobi Chain project with an initial investment of 20 million Huobi Token (HT), more than $30 million U.S dollars at the current exchange rate.
