ICMEC Receives Motorola Solutions Foundation Grant

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), an NGO focused on eradicating global child abduction, sexual abuse and exploitation, announced it received a $50,000 grant from Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. "Motorola Solutions Foundation's continued support allows us to unite global networks dedicated to child protection," said Ambassador Maura Harty, President and CEO of ICMEC.

This latest support from Motorola secures funding for professional development of first responders and strategy discussions about advanced technology solutions at ICMEC's 10(th) Annual Global Missing Children's Network (GMCN) Conference. ICMEC operates the GMCN, which includes 32 organizations from 28 countries, as a platform for countries to globally address solutions that create a safer world for children. Solutions Foundation awards grants each year to organizations, such as ICMEC, which support and advance public safety programs and technology and engineering education initiatives. "ICMEC helps nurture a healthy relationship between advocacy, field operations and capacity building in the area of child protection. This year, Motorola Solutions Foundation grants will support programs that help more than 3 million students, teachers, first responders and community members around the globe.
