Booz Allen Selected to Advance U.S. Army’s Survivability Systems

As the US Army’s preeminent resource for information age technologies, the Communications-Electronics, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) equips soldiers with tools that provide situational awareness to protect against surprise attack. CERDEC has selected Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) in May to provide services such as engineering, integration, testing, evaluation, and more. These efforts will support the delivery of sensor systems that can be used to upgrade vehicular and aircraft protection systems. Booz Allen’s work on this $49M task order will continue through April 2021.

“One reason CERDEC selected Booz Allen is because of this team’s knowledge and novel approaches to engineering problems within a multitude of areas such as Electronic Warfare, Radio Frequency, and C5ISR,” said Dominick Floyd, senior associate at Booz Allen. “We have assembled a diverse, talented team based on their experience in successfully providing engineering and technical advisory support for aircraft and vehicle protection. We will continue to leverage our extensive expertise in aircraft and ground survivability equipment development to provide enhanced defense technology solutions.”

The Booz Allen team brings elite-level skills to CERDEC’s mission featuring enhanced missile, radar and laser warning technologies, as well as infrared and radio frequency countermeasure solutions.

Booz Allen has a long history of supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, having won its first Navy contract in 1940. To learn more about Booz Allen’s Defense work, visit here.
