“This distinction from Forbes demonstrates that Ryder continues to remain top of mind within the industry and that we are committed to our employees and customers,” said Robert Sanchez, Ryder Chairman and CEO. “Companies trust Ryder with their most critical fleet and supply chain operations because they know we have the best people in the industry working on their business. We invest in our people because they are fundamental to delivering on our promise to customers.”

The list is based on Forbes’ 2018 Global 2000 rankings, which included publicly traded companies from 60 countries that together accounted for $39.1 trillion in sales, $3.2 trillion in profit, $189 trillion in assets, and $56.8 trillion in market value. To determine the list, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to analyze more than 430,000 global recommendations. The recommendations were collected via a global poll and different regional surveys. To evaluate the companies as an employer, employees were asked to rate their own employer as well as to recommend other employers. The 500 companies receiving the highest total scores are awarded as the World’s Best Employers within the Global 2000 list.

For the past four years, Ryder has been recognized among America’s Best Employers by Forbes. Earlier this year, Ryder was recognized by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for Women.” The Company has also been named for the past five years as one of Recruit Military’s Most Valuable Employers for Military, formerly presented by CivilianJobs.com. The award is given to select employers for their recruiting, training, and retention plans that best serve military service members and veterans.
